Bermaz Auto Alliance (“BAA”) today announced the cessation of its business operations with effect from February 29, 2024. This is after three years since its establishment to manage the distribution, sales, and aftersales of Peugeot vehicles in Malaysia and as the authorised repairer for Citroen & DS models.
This comes following the decision and announcement on November 22, 2023 by Stellantis N.V to manage its brands in the Malaysian market through its own national sales company.
In the earlier statement made in November 2023, Stellantis ASEAN & General Distributors Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Gonzalez said, “Bermaz Auto is a valued partner and has built a solid foundation for the Peugeot brand in Malaysia since December 2020, which will greatly help our transition to the NSC structure. I would like to thank Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Ben Yeoh, the Executive Chairman of Bermaz Auto, and his team for everything that Bermaz Auto has done to develop the Peugeot brand to where it is today.”
With the cessation of operations, BAA will no longer be able to continue serving Peugeot customers as intended. BAA expresses its appreciation towards all customers for the support and confidence in the sales and aftersales service rendered by BAA throughout these years.
Bermaz Auto Alliance has agreed to transfer the contractual Free Service Maintenance (FSM) program to Stellantis N.V in totality and as such, all future FSM will be carried out through Stellantis N.V appointed network.

In case you’re confused, the cessation of operation of Bermaz Auto Alliance does not affect Kia and Mazda. Under the Bermaz Group, Kia is distributed by Dinamikjaya Sdn Bhd while Mazda is distributed by Bermaz Motors Sdn Bhd. Peugeot was distributed by Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd.
