The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA facelift has just been launched in Malaysia. Available in a sole GLA 200 guise, for the time being, the facelifted SUV will be locally assembled in Pekan, Pahang, and is priced at RM258,888, on-the-road, without insurance.
On the outside, the facelifted Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 in Malaysia is fitted with new LED reflector headlights, LED rearlights, and the Progressive Line kit with more chrome trimmings on the bumpers. The GLA 200 also gets a set of slightly redesigned 18-inch five-twin-spoke wheels in Tremolite Grey, along with the “power domes” on its bonnet like those found on the updated A-Class.
Powering the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 in Malaysia continues to be the 1.3-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with no mild hybrid assistance on board. Paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), the mill sends 163 hp and 250 Nm to the front wheels.
Inside, changes made to the facelifted GLA 200 in Malaysia are rather minimal. Obvious differences here include the new steering wheel with touch-control panels, as well as the removal of the touch-control panel on the centre console. The twin 10.25-inch displays running on the MBUX infotainment system (NTG 7) now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too.

Safety equipment found in the updated Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 in Malaysia remains unchanged from before. This includes features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Highbeam Assist (AHA), Parking package with reverse camera, and the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
