Shell Malaysia has initiated numerous countermeasures, including equipping its engine oil bottles with a country-specific label to safeguard the interest of Shell Helix users.
Authentic Shell products bear the “Untuk Pasaran Malaysia” (For Malaysian Market) labels on them alongside a specific QR code. Consumers can scan the code using the Shell Advantage Rewards (SHARE) application to verify the authenticity of the product. Counterfeit packages may also carry the code, but it will show either an ‘Invalid’ or ‘Used’ code when scanned.
For a total peace of mind for consumers, authenticity is guaranteed when Shell Helix engine oil is purchased from Shell Helix Authorised Branded Workshops or the Shell Lubes Official Store on Shopee, while trade customers can obtain authentic Shell Helix engine oils from Shell Authorised B2C distributors.
