The facelifted 2023 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe has recently made its launch in Malaysia. Fully imported, the GLE 53 Coupe is priced at RM873,888 on the road without insurance.
The 2023 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe’s exterior kit includes the Multibeam LED headlamps with Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a set of 22-inch wheels, and a rear spoiler.
Powering the 2023 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ is a 3.0-litre straight-six engine, paired with an AMG Speedshift 9G automatic gearbox, resulting in a rated output of 435 hp and 560 Nm.
Aiding the mill is a 48V mild hybrid system featuring an integrated starter generator (ISG) system. This provides an extra boost of 23 hp and 200 Nm.

Power is sent to all four wheels via the brand’s 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The Malaysian spec GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe also gets fully variable torque distribution, AMG Ride Control+ air suspension, and active ride stabilisation. The GLE 53 Coupe’s century sprint can be done in just 5.0 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 250 km/h.
Inside, the facelifted Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe in Malaysia is equipped with carbon fibre finishing on the door and dashboard trims, as well as an AMG flat-bottom steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather with two knobs to control the transmission and suspension settings. There is also an infotainment system powered by the second-generation MBUX system, together with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
Safety-wise, the facelifted 2023 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe in Malaysia is included with the brand’s Driving Assistance Plus package. This includes features such as adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree view camera, Parktronic active parking assist, and autonomous braking.
