Following the launch of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has now launched the coupe version of it – the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Coupe. Available in a single variant only, the fully imported (CBU) GLC Coupe for Malaysia fetches a price of RM469,888, on-the-road (OTR), without insurance.
Sharing the exact same trim as its SUV counterpart in Malaysia, the only difference that the coupe brings is, well, the coupe roofline and a panoramic glass roof. This does result in a sportier overall appearance which is further complemented by the 20-inch staggered alloy wheels. If you didn’t know it yet, the GLC Coupe that has just landed is also electrified. It sports a mild hybrid (MHEV) powertrain which consists of a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine and an integrated starter generator (ISG).
The nominal output of the system is 258 hp and 400 Nm, with the ISG providing a boost of up to 23 hp and 200 Nm. Paired with the engine and ISG is a 9-speed automatic transmission. As the GLC 300 4MATIC’s name suggests, it sports an all-wheel drive (AWD) powertrain. All of these facts and figures translate into a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 246 km/h.
Inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Coupe sports an AMG Line interior, an AMG Line steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, Artico man-made leather upholstery, and a panoramic glass roof. Naturally, the all-new GLC 300 4MATIC coupe also comes with a new head unit with the latest MBUX with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For your listening pleasure, the car is equipped with a Burmester 3D surround sound system.
In terms of safety, the all-new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC Coupe comes equipped with Blind Spot Monitor, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Parking Assist with Parktronic, a 360° surround view monitor, and Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus. Like its SUV counterpart, Adaptive Cruise Control is not present.
