2023 Range Rover Velar facelift launched in Malaysia, from RM639k



The new 2023 Range Rover Velar facelift luxury SUV has just made its launch in Malaysia. Offered in one powertrain option only – the P250, the Velar is available with three variants to choose from. Prices start from RM638,800 including 10% SST, and without road tax, registration, and insurance.

The three variants offered with the 2023 Range Rover Velar in Malaysia include:

  • P250 Dynamic SE M Spec
  • P250 Dynamic SE H Spec
  • P250 Dynamic HSE L Spec

On the outside, the 2023 facelifted Range Rover Velar comes with the new radiator grille design, alongside a set of Pixel LED headlights up front and 3D LED tail lights at the back. The top-of-the-line L spec also gets the Jewel-like Signature Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) to go along with the Pixel LED headlights.

With this facelift exercise, the Range Rover Velar gains two new colour options, namely Varesine Blue and Zadar Grey. This is on top of other colour options such as Fuji White, Santorini Black, Hakuba Silver, Ostuni Pearl White, Carpathian Grey, Arroios Grey, and Charente Grey.

Exterior bits you get with the 2023 Range Rover Velar in Malaysia include:

  • LED headlights
  • Signature DRLs

Moving up to the H Spec, you get:

  • 22-inch in Style 1075 10-spoke gloss dark grey wheels with contrast diamond-turned finish

Opting for the top-of-the-range L Spec gets you:

Performance-wise, the 2023 facelifted Range Rover Velar in Malaysia only comes with one powertrain option, which is referred to by the carmaker as the P250. This powertrain option consists of the 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged petrol engine which produces 250 hp (metric) and 365 Nm. The mill is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to all four wheels via the brand’s all-wheel drive (AWD) system.

Adaptive Dynamics suspensions are equipped as standard on both the higher-end H and L Specs of the facelifted Range Rover Velar in Malaysia. It also comes with Electronic Air Suspension, and Configurable Dynamics that allow you to configure the car’s throttle mapping, gearbox shift points, steering settings, and suspension to suit your driving needs.

There is also a calibration for off-road driving, just in case you feel like bringing your Velar to do so. The luxury SUV even comes with a feature called Wade Sensing which aids in situations of driving through deep water.

Inside, the Malaysian-spec 2023 Range Rover comes with an 11.4-inch curved screen touchscreen head unit that comes with the Pivi Pro infotainment system. There are also new virtual sidebars on each side of the screen and are visible at all times.

These buttons feature multi-functional sliding controls for various settings. This includes air conditioning and seating settings, as well as audio volume. The 2023 Range Rover Velar also comes with the Technology Pack which includes a head-up display, a 3D Surround Camera system, as well as the Park Assist feature.

To give its customers a quiet and comfortable ride, the premium carmaker has fitted the Range Rover Velar with its Active Road Noise Cancellation technology. Here is a list of interior features the 2023 Range Rover Velar comes with:
