Previously upon Tesla’s launch in Malaysia, the company revealed its Tesla supercharger network consisting of 12 locations. Just last month, Tesla Malaysia officially opened its superchargers in Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, with the icon on the supercharger network map on Tesla Malaysia’s website lighting up in red. Now, the company has added two new locations to its Malaysian supercharger network. The locations are in Alor Gajah, Melaka, as well as Petaling Jaya, Selangor, respectively.
The supercharging station located in Alor Gajah will be an important one as it will prove useful for Tesla owners travelling down south. The new supercharger in Petaling Jaya on the other hand is currently the second supercharger to be listed in the city. As of now, the two said supercharger stations are yet to be activated, just like most of the locations already mentioned previously.

No details of the new supercharger locations’ exact address have been announced by Tesla Malaysia either, but the growth in the number of Tesla superchargers in Malaysia looks promising thus far. The current list of 14 locations for the Tesla supercharger network include:
- Petaling Jaya Selangor

As mentioned, the Tesla supercharging station located in Pavillion Kuala Lumpur is the only one in Malaysia that has been activated, featuring 8 charging bays that can charge at a rate of up to 250 kW. Rates for the superchargers are listed at RM1.25/kWh. There are also idle fees that amount to RM4/min.
The fastest public DC charging rate in Malaysia thus far is 350 kW. The Gentari charging station at Xpark Sunway Seren is equipped with two of these. Tesla Malaysia first announced its supercharger network with 12 locations, and now it has grown to a total of 14 locations nationwide. However, these are just the first of many as the company has also laid out plans for its supercharger network that will mainly cover the west coast with a high density in Klang Valley.
