Tesla Malaysia is currently offering its Home Charging Programme, where customers who purchase a Tesla vehicle will get one unit of the Tesla Wall Connector (worth RM 2,880) for free. This offer will only last till October 31 this year, and customers will need to make their Tesla vehicle orders by then to enjoy the offer.
The Tesla Wall Connector is essentially the brand’s naming for its AC charger, which comes together with a 7.3-meter cable, and a Type 2 connector. The device is also equipped with WiFi support for remote monitoring and firmware updates.
In order to qualify for the “free” Tesla Wall Connector, customers must fulfil these terms and conditions:
- The Tesla vehicle must be purchased directly from Tesla Malaysia
- The Tesla Wall Connector must be installed at the designated address written in the vehicle order form by a Tesla Approved Installer
- Customers must make sure that the designated address is suitable to install the wall connector
- Installation of the wall connector must be done before or within three months of vehicle delivery.

Customers will only have to pay the installation fee, which costs RM2,200 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM2,500 in Sabah and Sarawak, alongside standard equipment such as a switch, circuit breakers, residual current device (RCD), and a distribution box. The standard cabling, which includes trunking and conduit, will cost RM36 per meter. Armoured cable, on the other hand, will cost RM60 per metre.
Included with the charging device is a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty, alongside a 12-month installation work warranty provided by the Tesla Approved Installer. It is also to be noted that the Tesla Wall Connector is exclusively available for Tesla customers only.
If one wall connector just isn’t cutting it for you, you may purchase additional units on Tesla’s online store. However, customers are only entitled to purchase up to two additional units with each vehicle VIN.
