Fiat has just announced the debut of its new fully electric crossover- the Fiat 600e. The 5-door crossover continues the legacy of the original Fiat 600, which was a two-door fastback sedan/four-door mini MPV sold between the mid-50s and 80s.
The new fully electric Fiat 600e is offered in two trims, the top-of-the-line La Prima trim, and interestingly, the (RED) variant. Yes, this is the same (RED) branding you have seen on certain red-coloured Apple devices. For the Fiat 600e, Fiat has partnered with (RED), an organization that has been funding to fight AIDS since 2006, as well as the Covid-19 pandemic since 2020.

Like its other models such as the 500 hatchback and the Topolino quadricycle, Fiat has applied its “Dolce Vita” design philosophy to the 600e’s exterior and interior designs. On the outside, the 600e carries Fiat’s new LED headlight design language.
There are also colours of the Italian flag on the rear bumper to proudly show the 600e’s Italian identity. The Fiat 600e also comes in wheel sizes up to 18 inches.

Powering the fully electric Fiat 600e is a front-mounted electric motor, paired with a 54 kWh battery. This setup sends a total of 154 hp and 260 Nm to the front wheels. 0-100 km/h acceleration can be done in under 9.0 seconds, and the car comes with three driving modes too – Eco, Normal, and Sport.
As to how far the Italian crossover can carry you, the 600e has up to 400 km of combined WLTP range. Charging-wise, the Fiat 600e supports 100 kW DC fast charging, which will take less than 30 minutes for the battery to reach 80% state-of-charge (SoC). The 600e can also be charged to full in under 6 hours using an 11 kW AC charger. Besides the fully electric 600e, Fiat will also be releasing a hybrid variant of the 600 next year.

Fiat’s “Dolce Vita” design language continues on the inside. Customers can select up to 8 different colours for both the ambient light and the radio ambience, together with a series of default combinations.
The Fiat 600e also comes with a 7-inch digital instrument display, as well as a 10.25-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. The driver seat is power-adjustable and comes with heating, and back-massage functions too.

Fiat says the 600e is not just made for “city lovers” but also the outdoor enthusiasts, which is why it has made the fully electric crossover to be spacious enough to accommodate its customers’ active lifestyle. Measuring 4,171 mm in length, the Fiat 600e can carry up to 5 occupants, including the driver, and also comes with 360 litres of boot space.
Safety-wise, Fiat has equipped its new crossover with a level 2 assisted driving system. This includes safety features such as adaptive cruise control (ACC) with stop&go function, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), as well as blind spot monitoring.
