All-new Mercedes-Benz CLE to replace C-Class and E-Class Coupes – official launch July 5

Mercedes-Benz has published a new teaser photo on its social media channels for an all-new model dubbed the ‘CLE’, with an official world premiere scheduled for July 5, 2023.

The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLE will be making its debut as a coupe model, designed to replace both the C-Class and E-Class coupe models in a bid to simplify its increasingly-bloated model line-up. However, spy photographers have also in recent months spotted a convertible version of the CLE, which will take the place of the C- and E-Class Cabriolets when it’s launched at a later date.

The German carmaker is keeping its cards close to its chest for the all-new CLE-Class, but spyshots suggest that it’ll feature a fairly sleek bodywork, with design elements inspired by the all-new C-Class, as well as the Mercedes-AMG SL that only recently made its debut here in Malaysia.

Underneath the sheet metal is likely the marque’s MRA-2 platform, and just like the all-new C-Class that’s also built on the same architecture, the all-new CLE should also be powered by the marque’s electrified two-litre four-cylinder engine options.

Variant line-up could include anything ranging from the CLE 200 to even AMG variants like the CLE 63 and CLE 43, mirroring the powertrain offerings of the C-Class. An earlier scoop from Mercedes-Benz dealers in the USA last year even suggested a six-cylinder powertrain option for the CLE 450 variant.

We’ll know more about the new two-door Mercedes-Benz CLE after its official launch on June 5, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on AutoBuzz.my.
