Six months after its official launch here on our shores, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has now announced that the all-new 2022 C-Class is now locally-assembled as a CKD model here in the brand’s production facility in Pekan, Pahang.
Offered in the same two variants as before, the new locally-assembled 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class starts from RM287,888 for the C 200 Avantgarde Line, and RM327,888 for the C 300 AMG Line, both prices on-the-road, and without insurance.
Specifications for both variants remain largely unchanged from before; the C 200 comes equipped with the Avantgarde exterior package, paired to 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, while the C 300 gets the AMG Line exterior body kit, plus a set of 19-inch AMG multi-spoke wheels.
The LED High Performance headlights with adaptive high-beam assist is standard across both variants, as are the full LED tail lights, but the C 300 stands out with a unique “Mercedes-Benz pattern grille” with the star design mesh finished in chrome, alongside an additional panoramic sunroof.

Moving inside, the equipment appointments are mostly shared between the two variants. Highlights in the Malaysia-spec 2022 Mercedes-Benz C-Class’ cabin include a free-standing 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 11.9-inch portrait-oriented central touchscreen infotainment display running the latest MBUX NTG7 operating system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charging pad, Artico man-made leather upholstery, powered front seats with four-way lumbar support, as well as an augmented-reality navigation system.
The range-topping Mercedes-Benz C 300 AMG Line variant does stands out with extra AMG Line goodies, including a sportier flat-bottom steering wheel, Sports seats, a variant-exclusive metal weave trim, and AMG floor mats.
Exclusive to the locally-assembled model, Both CKD variants now come with powered hands-free access for the boot, while the safety kit also includes the Pre-Safe occupant collision protection system.
