Today, Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’s Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced “Toll Rahmah”, which is essentially free toll for the highways in celebration of Hari Raya Adilfitri this year. The free toll period will span across 4 days – April 19,20,21, and 24. The “Toll Rahmah” will be applicable for 33 highways for all vehicle classes.
Together with the “Toll Rahmah” announcement, the Prime Minister also announced that all traffic summons from 2022 and earlier will only cost RM50 if payment is made between April 21 to May 21, 2023. The RM50 special price is applicable for all traffic summons. However, it is not applicable for traffic summons issued in 2023.
Besides Toll Rahmah and the special summons price, Dato’s Sri also announced the operation of Ops Lancar which will take place on April 18 and 19, 2023. PDRM will also be conducting Ops Selamat 20 which will take place from April 20 to April 27.
For those of you planning to balik kampung for the festivities, do take note that there will be seven non-compoundable traffic offences between April 18 to April 27. This means that the offenders will be directly referred to court. Part of the 7 offences are using mobile phones while driving, driving in the emergency lane, and cutting traffic queues.
