Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has just launched the all-new fully-imported (CBU) 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC (X254) today, introducing a single-variant line-up that consists of the mild hybrid (MHEV) GLC 300 4MATIC with the 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) system. While the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC is now an all-new model, the design change is more of an evolution of the X253 generation rather than a radical all-new look. The front end has been given a redesign, now sporting a bigger grille and sleeker headlights.
At the back, the GLC SUV now gets a bridged taillight design. Their interior has a three-dimensional look, and as an optional extra, they are available with an animation. The rear end also has a simulated chrome underguard, which encases the simulated chrome-look tailpipes.

As for powertrain options, the GLC’s global variant line-up is fully electrified. In its most basic form, the GLC 200 4MATIC (not available in Malaysia) is powered a 2.0-litre inline-4 with mild hybrid (MHEV) assistance. The GLC 300 4MATIC for Malaysia is also powered by an MHEV 2.0-litre turbocharged system, albeit slightly more powerful.
Details of the GLC 300 4MATIC’s powertrain are as such:
- Engine: MHEV 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged (M 254)
- Max. Power: 258 hp + 23 hp ISG boost
- Max. Torque: 400 Nm + 200 Nm ISG boost

Inside, the cabin of the GLC is now more in tune with the current-generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class (W206). There is a much larger central screen now and in portrait orientation. Naturally, with the revamped cabin, the GLC also gets the latest steering wheel generation. Standard interior features include:
