Five year after making its global debut, the 2023 Jaguar I-PACE has now finally been launched here in Malaysia. Offered in two variants, the fully-electric SUV starts from RM460,800 for the entry-level Black LE variant, moving up to RM498,800 for the range-topping HSE.
In terms of appearance, the I-PACE is definitely one of the most unique-looking EVs on the roads today, thanks to its sloping roofline, stacked atop the muscular yet flowing SUV body – which Jaguar says is inspired by its existing sports cars.
Standard equipment on the outside include matrix LED headlights and LED tail lights with sequential turn indicators, pop-out door handles, and 20-inch wheels with a diamond-turned dual-tone design on the range-topping HSE variant.
The interior meanwhile is characterised by its unique Pivi Pro infotainment system that’s made up of two screens: a 10-inch display for your infotainment needs, plus a separate five-inch touchscreen below, sandwiched between two rotary dials, for your climate control system.
The 2023 Jaguar I-PACE is offered with a single powertrain option here in Malaysia, consisting of a twin-motor all-wheel drive set-up, alongside a 90 kWh battery pack. Total system output is rated at 400 hp and 696 Nm, which translates to a century sprint time of 4.8 seconds, onward to a top speed of 200 km/h.
To charge, an on-board 11 kW AC charger takes 8.6 hours to fill it up from 0-80% – the same can be done in under 40 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger.
