Video: 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor now in Malaysia, 397 hp 3.0L V6 twin-turbo!

Nearly three months after it was first teased, Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC) has now finally brought the much-awaited Ford Ranger Raptor here into Malaysia. With only one variant on offer, the all-new Baja-inspired pick-up truck is priced at RM259,888 on the road, without insurance.

The main highlight of the all-new Ranger Raptor is its beating heart, because it’s ditched diesel power to now feature a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine underneath the bonnet, pumping out 397 hp and 583 Nm of torque.

Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic gearbox and a new full-time all-wheel drive system. The Fox shocks absorbers still remain, but now features the brand’s latest Live Valve system with Teflon-infused oil. The signature Baja drive mode, meanwhile, has now been updated with a new anti-lag system for the turbochargers.
