Get up close and personal with the Volkswagen ID.4 EV at VW Fest 2022!

After a two-year hiatus, the Volkswagen Fest will finally be returning for 2022, happening on October 15 and 16 at the Sentul Depot. And as a special treat for its fans, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia has also confirmed that it’ll be previewing the ID.4 EV at the upcoming event.

The VW Fest 2022 promises to be “even bigger than before”, with a range of activities being offered for fans and visitors, including a classic Volkswagen display, live performances, as well as a Volkswagen Driving Academy programme for juniors to earn their “very first driver’s license”.

Attendees will also be able to test drive Volkswagen’s range of units, from the all-new Golf and Arteon, to its entire SUV line-up here in Malaysia.

Aside from the teasers for the event, all specifications and details on the Volkswagen ID.4 still remain under wraps. The fully-electric SUV was recently sighted here in Malaysia, however, and spy shots suggest that we’ll at least be seeing (or getting) the ‘Pro’ variant.

In this specification, the Volkswagen ID.4 gets a single electric motor on the rear axle to put out 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque, translating to a 0-100 km/h time of 8.5 seconds.

The motor is fed by a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, giving it a range of 520 km based on the WLTP test cycle. As for charging, the ID.4 accepts up to 11 kW of AC power, or up to 125 kW via a DC fast charger.

More information should be available once the car goes on display next weekend, so keep your eyes peeled!
