Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially launched the first-ever, fully-electric Mercedes-Benz EQS in the form of the EQS450+. It’s priced from RM698,888 on-the-road before insurance including 10% sales tax. Mercedes-Benz Malaysia also introduced the EQC400 4MATIC and the EQB350 4MATIC.
PERFORMANCE
The EQS comes with a single electric motor, powered by a 107.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, capable of returning up to 782 km of electric driving range. The EQS 450+ comes with an 11 kW onboard AC charger and is compatible with up to 200 kW DC charging. With the 11kW charger, it takes up to 10 hours to fully charge the car but with a 200 kW DC charger, it takes just 31 minutes to get the EQS charged up to 80%.
Rear wheel steer is among the unique features, allowing the maneuver effortlessly through tight turns. Offering a ride worthy of an ‘electric S-Class’ will be the task of the Airmatic suspension with adaptive dampers.

EXTERIOR
In terms of dimensions, the EQS is longer than the standard S-Class but shorter than the long-wheelbase S-Class. It features the Digital Light package along with Adaptive High Beam Assist, complementing its smooth body lines. With it’s one-bow design, the EQS has a drag coefficient of just 0.20 Cd, making it the most aerodynamic production car in the world.

A light beam connects the two front headlamps for a very distinctive look while the rear features 3D-like taillight clusters. Frameless windows and retractable door hands add to the EQS’ futuristic design.
INTERIOR
The highlight of the EQS450+’s interior is none other than the MBUX Hyperscreen consisting of a 12.3 inch instrument display, another 12.3-inch display for the front passenger, and a 17.7-inch OLED centre touchscreen display. We’re not done with displays, at the back are two 11-6-inch displays for rear seat entertainment.
The EQS 450+ also includes the MBUX augmented reality for navigation and Active Ambient Lighting featuring 190 LEDs lights up the cabin, in a manner that complements the driving mode selected.
