Alongside the new GLC 300e Coupe, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today also announced a mild equipment update for the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic, which comes with an accompanying price hike of nearly RM30,000 bringing the retail price now up to RM392,582 on-the-road, without insurance and inclusive of SST exemptions until June 30, 2022.
Following the reintroduction of SST, the GLB 35 will go for RM405,888, so if you’re looking to nab yourself one of these, best get your bookings in soon.
As part of the 2022 upgrades, the Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 is now equipped with a new 360-degree surround view monitor, replacing the reverse camera from before. Head-up display is also now standard, alongside a new AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather, and the AMG steering-wheel buttons.
Other additions include the MBUX Interior Assistant, which offers added convenience inside the cabin with features such as automatically switching-on the map lights when the driver reaches over to retrieve an item in the front passenger seat. Last but not least, there’s also a new puddle light which projects the Mercedes-Benz logo on the floor when the door is opened.
Aside from these changes, however, the rest of the equipment list remains identical from before, with standard kit including the Multibeam adaptive LED headlights, 20-inch black five twin-spoke alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control with rear air vents, electric adjustable sports seats, and the twin 10.25-inch screens running the MBUX OS with AMG-specific displays, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Powering the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4Matic is still the same 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, sending 306 hp and 400 Nm of torque to all four wheels via an eight-speed AMG Speedshift DCT gearbox and the 4Matic all-wheel drive system, for a century sprint time of 5.2 seconds and a rated top speed of 250 km/h.
