Facts & Figures: Facelift Jaguar XF P250 R-Dynamic in Malaysia from RM498k

Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia has launched the updated Jaguar XF P250 R-Dynamic with a refreshed exterior and new equipment on board, priced from RM498,800 including SST without insurance.

New on the exterior includes a revised front bumper – with larger air intakes – along with a newly designed, larger front grille. The most striking of all is the ‘J-graphics’ on the headlamps that significantly modernise the aging XF. The previous XF was introduced in Malaysia in 2016.

Unlike the dual projectors from the pre-facelift model, the new XF feature quad-projectors, tucked between the LED daytime running lights – much the latest Lexus vehicles. Over to the side, the Jaguar XF gets new fender trims, this time featuring the Leaper badge while the rear bumper design has also been revised.

Inside is where significant changes are at; with a 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen display that’s nearly 50% larger than the previous unit. The infotainment system also offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and is linked to a Meridian Sound system. The sound system also features a segment-first Active Road Noise Cancellation technology that reduces cabin noise while the car is on the move.

On the dashboard, the ‘pop-up’ air-con vents have been replaced with conventional air vents while the physical air-con controls have been replaced with a touch-sensitive panel. Also gone is the ‘pop-up’ gear lever, now replaced with a conventional square gear knob.

The switches on the door panels have also been repositioned, leaving just one switch on the arm rest while the rest have been moved higher to the door panels. Also new in the facelift Jaguar XF is the wireless charger, steering wheel design and a fully digital instrument cluster.

As it is the P250 variant, the XF gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 250 hp and 365 Nm, paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission to drive the rear-wheels. Only the P300 variant gets all-wheel drive. 0 to 100 km/h in the XF P250 takes 6.9 seconds before it hits an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h.

According to Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia, the new XF P250 R-Dynamic was fully booked at the pre-launch phase but is now available for booking again.
