BMW Malaysia has announced the price of the new, first-ever BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport in Malaysia which was previewed here in January 2022. Check out our gallery here!
The last few months have been a period of many firsts for BMW Malaysia, following the launch of the BMW iX from RM419k and the BMW iX3 from RM317k. As for the BMW i4 eDrive40 M Sport, prices start from RM389,800 and it’s available in a single variant with 5-years unlimited mileage warranty.
Monthly repayments start from RM4,306 based on an 80% loan on a 5-year tenure, with the Easy Drive Financing Plan by BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia.
The BMW i4 features a single electric motor, offering 340 hp and 430 Nm, to drive the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission. 0 to 100 km/h is quite similar to the BMW 430i launched in Malaysia last year, at 5.7 seconds compared to the 430i’s 5.8 seconds.
Fitted with an 83.9 kWh battery, the BMW i4 eDrive40 offers up to 590 km of driving range on a full charge. With a standard 11kW onboard charger, the batteries take just 8.5 hours to be fully charged. The faster 200kW DC fast charger can get the i4 up to 80% charged in just 31 minutes. The i4’s batteries are covered by an 8-year/160,000km warranty.
Key features on the exterior include an M Sport body kit, BMW Laser Lights, 19-inch M Aerodynamic wheels, and M Sport brakes. Inside, the highlight of the cabin is the curved screen consisting of two displays of different sizes; a 12.3-inch infotainment system featuring the BMW iDrive 8 operating system and a 14.9-inch display for the meter cluster.
BMW Malaysia said the i4 comes in either Black, White, or Grey exterior colours although later in the year, the company will introduce the San Remo Green, M Portimao Blue, and M Brooklyn Grey.
Other noteworthy mentions are the 17-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, head-up display, 3-zone air conditioning, panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. The interior upholstery is available in Black, Mocha, or Red leather.
