Here’s the first official image of the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift!

As Indonesia is preparing for the return of the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), teaser images of certain key models have surfaced.

However, Mitsubishi Motors Corp (MMC) in Japan thought differently and decided to release one lone image of the soon-to-be-launched Xpander facelift.

The single image of the 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift was shared during the automaker’s second-quarter financial results presentation (link here), with a simple ‘coming soon’ tag accompanying the image.

MMC is seeing great recovery in ASEAN, with Indonesia experiencing the greatest growth moving from 2020 to 2021, increasing sales and thus its market share from 8% to 12.6% based on MMC’s intelligence. The Mitsubishi Xpander certainly contributed plenty to that, as it was the best selling car in May 2021.

As for the facelifted Mitsubishi Xpander, the frontal design sees quite a significant update, headlined by the new LED headlamps housed in a T-shape design.

The turn signals are now housed within LED elements at the top lighting ‘brow’. A larger emphasis on the main grille is also done by moving the licence plate holder to the lower grille area.

Mitsubishi in Indonesia is reported on planning to reveal the facelifted 2022 Mitsubishi Xpander on Monday, November 8th, ahead of the GAIIS that is scheduled from the 11th to 21st.
