Aston Martin Kuala Lumpur has announced the arrival of the first Vantage in Malaysia with the new optional ‘Vaned’ front grille. The grille was introduced last year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vantage nameplate.
The Vaned grille design has been around since the 1950s, from as early as the DB MK III model. Later on, it was also featured in the DBS, DB4, DB5, and DB6 of James Bond fame.
On the more modern and aggressive Vantage, it offers a softer more refined look compared to the aggressive and muscular look of the standard Vantage.
The more subtle grille with five horizontal vanes is also complemented with a more discreet front bumper and splitter design. The Vaned grille can be had in either Silver or Black.
Aside from the optional grille, this specific Vantage also gets the Liquid Crimson exterior paint, a new option by Aston Martin Lagonda. The unique lustrous colour is topped off with the new 20-inch ‘Snowflake’ wheels that’s 6.2 kg lighter than the standard set.
Further highlighting the details on the car are blacked-out items like the mirror caps, roof panel, and rear diffuser from the exterior black package.
Inside, the Vantage is upholstered with Caithness leather in Obsidian Black and Lords Red. The long milling process of the leather helps create a soft and luxurious feel.
The standard Aston Martin Vantage starts from RM678,000 before duties and taxes. Upon being contacted, Aston Martin were unable to provide the full price (inclusive of taxes and duties) of the Vantage with the optional Liquid Crimson and Vaned grille.
