Lamborghini reveals more teasers of the new Countach!

Earlier this week, Lamborghini announced that the Countach name is getting a rebirth. Apart from a silhouette which might not even be the final design, not much was mentioned in the original post which we have covered here.

Earlier today, the company uploaded three more images of the new Countach on their Instagram page.

Key details of the new Countach were shared, beginning with a section of the front design. The 2021 Lamborghini Countach looks to pay homage to the 1971 Bertone-designed Countach LP500 concept vehicle, with the ‘Countach’ emblem placed offset on the front bumper with details featuring vertical lines.

The following image is the shot of the engine area, with the transparent cover shaped by the brand’s characteristic hexagonal-shaped windows and V12 engine beneath it. Being a model featuring a V12 engine, it is no surprise to see familiarities with the Aventador, such as the “X-brace” above the engine.

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae celebrates the legendary V12- 780 hp and 8,500 rpm. More about the swansong Aventador model here.

Finally, the teaser image focuses on the rear fender, with large engine cooling vents first seen on the original Countach. The size of the air intakes on the new Countach looks massive too, with a much higher opening than the Aventador. Slits from the original Bertone-designed concept have also been incorporated.

While the Aventador has a hexagonal-shaped fuel lid, the new Countach has its circular fuel cap exposed and painted in gloss black. Although not shown, we are positive that the wheel arch will also follow suit of the concept vehicle first displayed 50 years ago.

Lamborghini’s coolest vehicle is not a super sports car, but this 4,000 hp…. Find out what it is here!

Apart from celebrating 50 years of Countach, the new V12 model is set to pave the way for a new era of electrification for Lamborghini. The company recently presented a “three-phase road map” to electrification costing EUR1.5 billion (approx. RM7.4 billion).

The company is in the first phase, which pays tribute to the brand’s history and iconic products from the past and present. By 2024, the entire line-up of Lamborghini supercars will be electrified, followed by its first fully electric supercar by 2030.
