Launched in late 2018, the “Volkswagen Cares” app from Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has been thoroughly revamped to provide a much better ownership experience for customers. The new app replaces the older version with immediate effect.
Previously focussing on customer loyalty programmes as well as a shortcut to roadside emergency assistance, the new “Volkswagen Cares” app now allows customers to arrange for service appointments, manage their vehicle information, as well as receive reminders from the Volkswagen Insurance Plan (VIP). The new app is now a one-stop centre housing various sales and aftersales support.
When developing the new app, designers also took into consideration customer feedback to address any shortcomings as well as improve the user experience. Further upgrades are already planned, such as a rewards system and payment gateway.
“We have our customers at the forefront of everything we do, and the launch of the new Volkswagen Cares app is an example of this. Our app has been a true success story for us, especially among the markets managed by the PHS group. We have about 30,000 owners with us to date, and more than 50% of this figure are VCP members, those with cars that are 5 years and older,” said VPCM, Managing Director, Erik Winter.
Winter added that it was heartening to have customers stay with the brand and VPCM sees this as a testament to their service improvements as well as the passion for serving the customers.
VPCM is seen as a digital front-runner in the industry, pioneering many digital campaigns such as selling its cars on popular e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee and even an Instagram-exclusive sale.
Booking of new Volkswagen models can also be performed via their eShowroom. The new Volkswagen Cares app is available to download now on the Apple App Store for iOS users, and the Google Play store for Android users.
