It’s called the Love Audacious. The limited-edition hybrid model is a collaboration between Maserati Fuoriserie and Canotwait, a fashion label owned by William Chan, a singer/actor from Hong Kong.
The limited-edition model was made to commemorate the 20th of May, or 520 which loosely translates to “wuo ai ni” which means “I Love You” in Mandarin. Think of this day as like an unofficial Valentine’s Day within the Chinese community.
It doesn’t come with dimmer headlights for romantic lighting, nor does it come with a love counselor onboard. What the Ghibli Hybrid features is a special shade of purple called Digital Aurora.
The unique multi-colour appearance was inspired by the Northern lights with a blend of purple, blue and pink flakes. Watch the video of the development process here!
The Maserati Ghibli Hybrid Love Order is only for the Chinese market, with eight units available for purchase online.
With a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and an electric supercharger, the Ghibli Hybrid produces 330 hp and 450 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h takes a brisk 5.7 seconds, before topping out at 255 km/h.
