Two months after its Singaporean launch, UMW Toyota has launched the all-new 4th generation Toyota Harrier in Malaysia. It will only be available in a single variant, the 2.0-litre Luxury, priced at RM249,706.50 on-the-road without insurance. The new Harrier comes fully imported from Japan.
Under the hood is a 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated Dynamic Force engine with 173 hp and 203 Nm, paired to Toyota’s Direct Shift CVT gearbox to drive the front wheels.
On the outside, the Harrier comes with LED everything and this extends to the daytime running lights, front fog lamps, projector headlamps, and rear lighting fixtures. Under the wheel arches are 18-inch wheels and topping the exterior off is the hands-free tailgate feature.
Inside, the Harrier comes with a myriad of new additions. For starters, it comes with a head up display, ventilated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic moon roof with manual dimming functions and a wireless charger.
As for safety, the Harrier is safeguarded by seven airbags, and the full suite of Toyota Safety Sense which includes:
- Pre Collision Braking
- Lane Departure Alert
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (all speeds)
- Adaptive High Beam
