Lexus teases concept SUV as build-up to new brand vision and more

After a quiet 2020 and their last new model being the UX compact SUV which debuted in 2018, Lexus will announce details of their brand transformation next week, with at least one new product planned this year.

“This Spring, we will unveil our new brand vision, along with a new concept, which illustrates our intentions for the future and marking the beginning of the next generation of Lexus. Furthermore, we will launch the first model under our new vision within this year, and we will continue to introduce new models next year and beyond,” said Lexus International President and Chief Branding Officer, Koji Sato.

The automotive landscape definitely expects Lexus to equip the concept vehicle with production-ready electric propulsion hardware, as its key rivals from Germany all already have a product with zero local emissions. The full details of the new Lexus will be announced next week, March 30th.

The Concept Car does have a similar silhouette with the LF-30 concept from 2019, perhaps now with more conventional door hinges. But, what is the fin-like protrusion at the centre of the rear windshield?
