If you’ve been up to date with the latest automotive developments in Malaysia, you’d be aware that the new Arteon R-Line and Tiguan Allspace Highline and R-Line is now part of Volkswagen Passengers Cars Malaysia’s inventory.
While the Arteon is only available in R-Line trim, the Tiguan Allspace can be had either in Highline or R-Line form. The Arteon is priced at RM221,065 while the Tiguan Allspace Highline and R-Line goes for RM165,000 and RM209,575 respectively. All prices are inclusive of Sales Tax Exemption.
In terms of powertrain, the Tiguan Allspace comes with two engine options; a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine for the Highline variant with 150 hp and 250 Nm, paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission to drive the front wheels. The R-Line on the other hand gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 220 hp and 350 Nm, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch to drive all four wheels via Volkswagen’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
As for the Arteon, it gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 190 hp and 320 Nm, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox to drive the front wheels. To spice up the driving experience even more, the Arteon is also equipped with the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) as standard that adapts to five different drive settings – Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, and Individual.
