Here’s Perodua’s new SOP for the next time you service your car

As with the new normal brought upon us by the Covid-19 pandemic, car companies have also had to change the way they do things. This includes incorporating SOPs for walk-in customers, after-sales services, and test drives.

Perodua‘s new video explains in detail how their customer’s cars would be taken care of, while its customers can wait in a secure environment.

For starters, the company is encouraging its customers to first make service appointments before arriving at the Perodua service centre. This can be done either by calling the service centre or booking a slot through the UFirst app.

Perodua also encourages customers to come alone, for obvious reasons, wearing a mask. Once at the Perodua service centre, the customer is required to have their temperatures taken along with registration of personal details for the purpose of contact tracing.

As for social distancing measure, Perodua has placed markings throughout the service centre. This includes the waiting area, lifts and also toilets. Sections like the cafeteria and the kids play area have been closed to avoid crowding.

As for its customer’s car, all contact points will be covered and sanitised before it is attended to. Upon completion of the service, the vehicle’s touch points such as the boot and door handles will be sanitised.

On the same topic, the interior would also be sanitised before the customer collects his or her car. This includes areas like the seat adjustment levers, seat surfaces, seat belts, steering wheel, gear and handbrake lever, infotainment and air conditioning controls, and window switches. Once all is said and done, customers are encouraged to make contactless payments.

Stay safe. Spread love, not germs.
