Bentley Kuala Lumpur has announced the arrival of the new Bentayga V8 Design Series in Malaysia – a special edition model that combines Mulliner exterior and interior styling. There is only one unit of the Design Series available in our market; at a cool RM1,045,000 before taxes and duties.
Key features of the Bentayga includes the seven-spoke Paragon wheels from the Mulliner collection in Palladium. The wheels are also fitted with self-levelling badges also from the Mulliner collection – like the ones you’d find in a Rolls-Royce.
The Designer Series V8 Bentayga is also dressed with Blackline trims as standard. As such, the Bentayga is differentiated with a body-coloured front bumper apron, twin gloss black tail pipes and Design Series badging on the lower section of the front doors.
Inside, the Bentayga Design Series is specified with a Duotone interior theme that’s a blend of orange accents on a white Beluga hide. The highly distinctive orange accents that contrast against other colours in the cabin is a first on a Bentayga, introduced through the Design Series.
The Design Series also features all-new carbon fibre weaves on the dashboard and door panels. The weave is presented in a diamond-quilted pattern with a high gloss finish.
The Design Series Bentayga also comes with the Front Seat Comfort package that bundles heated and ventilated seats with massaging functions, electrical height adjustments and cushioned headrests and at the front is a diamond-jewelled Breitling clock, the centre-piece of the cabin.
Unlike the W12 model we reviewed, the 4.0-litre turbocharged petrol-powered V8 in the Design Series makes 550 hp and 770 Nm of torque with 0 to 100 km/h done in just 4.4 seconds.
