You’ll need balls of steel to handle this mad quad bike

We may not have covered bike related news in the history of AutoBuzz.my but since it’s got four wheels and is completely bonkers, we’ll make an exception.

What you’re seeing here is a Suzuki quad bike with a 1,000 cc 4-cylinder engine from another Suzuki superbike. It’s got 140 hp; about the same as the new 1.8-litre Toyota Corolla but weighs close to nothing at just 220 kg!

A Lotus Elise S2, widely known as one of the lightest production cars in the business, makes about the same power from a 1.8-litre engine but even then it’s considered overweight in comparison, with a kerb weight of around 850 kg!

With a power-to-weight ratio comparable to a BMW M2, this unassuming death trap can easily chalk up a 229 km/h top speed!

It’s immensely frightening just thinking about manhandling this little rocket let alone actually doing it. In the video, you’d notice how wildly it behaves with the rider from New Zealand coming real close to crashing it on a couple of occassions.

Points should be given for applying front and rear wings onto the quad bike, with air brakes even! Although judging from the video, it doesn’t seem to be of much help; you’ll see why.
