After making its public debut at the 2019 Malaysia Autoshow, the BMW i3s is now officially available at Auto Bavaria KL, the only authorised BMW i Dealership in the country. However, customers can approach any BMW dealership for enquiries on the i3s.
The all-electric hatchback, which retails for RM278,800 (OTR without insurance), commands an output of 184 hp and 270 Nm of torque. It allows the i3s to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds with a system limited top speed of 160 km/h.
With the 42.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the i3s offers up to 345 km of driving range (WLTP test cycle) on a full charge. A full charge from empty takes a little over 3 hours when plugged into a Charing through an 11 kW BMW i Wallbox Plus (RM8,897 plus installation).
As standard, the i3s comes equipped with 20-inch Style 431 BMW i light alloy five-double-spoke wrapped in bespoke 175/55 profile tyres at the front and 195/50 rear, suicide doors, Sports Suspension (-10 mm ride height), Dark Truffle Vernasca leather upholstery, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with BMW Navigation System Professional and a 5.7-inch coloured TFT LCD display for the instrument cluster.
