MY2018 Honda CR-V recalled over faulty gear push knob button

If you’re a frequent patron of Honda social media groups and forums, you may have noticed a recurring topic from Honda CR-V owners facing issues with their gear push knob button. Now, Honda Malaysia has issued a product update campaign (recall) to replace the potentially faulty part.

The product update campaign will involve 7,050 units of the CR-V manufactured in 2018 and all replacement cost will be borne by Honda Malaysia. The replacement stock will be available in stages and owners will be notified via notification letters.

This product update campaign is a precautionary measure to address the possibility of customers facing difficulty with the MY2018 CR-V transmission lever when shifting from P (park) to other gear positions. Owners can find out whether their vehicles are involved in a product update campaign by calling Honda Toll Free number at 1-800-88-2020 or via Honda Malaysia’s dedicated website.
