Video: Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S & Carrera 4S First Drive in Auckland, New Zealand

Before Porsche Malaysia officially launched the new 992 generation 911 locally, they were kind enough to send us to Auckland, New Zealand to have an early taste of their latest Michelin-star dish.

As the title suggests, we got to try out two different models – Carrera S and Carrera 4S – which although look nearly identical, are completely different sportscars in their own right.

We drove through rainbows, scenic B-roads, through rain and shine and although we didn’t have much leeway to stretch their legs, the new 992 hinted plenty enough to indicate that Porsche has once again broke new barriers with the new sportscar.

Lethal performance, even better looks, more tech and unquestionable practicality for all-season use are the least to expect in the latest rendition of the 911 – an undying formula spanning more than 50 years.

The latest jewel in Porsche’s 911 crown goes for RM1.15 million for the Carrera S and RM1.22 million for the Carrera 4S.

Revised turbocharger flow, relocated intercoolers, mixed sized wheels, active flaps, new tail light fixture, wider active spoiler and a Wet Mode are among the revisions made to the new 911.
