The naysayers and haters may have had their word out on the Internet about the new Supra but reality has been singing a different tune with Toyota getting the last laugh.
Toyota Australia has just announced that they’ve sold out the first 100 units of the all-new A90 Supra allocated to the market within seven minutes!
With the immensely encouraging response, they’ve been able to secure 50 additional units and in total, were all sold out within 22 minutes of the first online sales of its kind.
80% of the orders were for the high-grade GTS models priced at approx. RM273k, fitted with the 3.0-litre turbocharged straight six with 340 hp and 500 Nm. There are two different grades available in Australia – GT and GTS.
Locally, UMW Toyota Motor has revealed that the latest gem in Toyota’s crown would arrive in Malaysia by the end of the year, with prices rumoured to be in the region of half a million Ringgit.
