After months of suspense since its global unveiling in January, Ford has finally revealed the performance figures for the 2020 Shelby GT500 and the numbers simply boggle the mind.
The hand-built 5.2-litre supercharged V8 will make 760 hp with 847 Nm of torque; making it the most power- and torque-dense supercharged production V8 engine in the world.
To put things into perspective, the most powerful V8 Ferrari ever built (for the F8 Tributo) only makes 720 hp! But that’s just on paper, we wouldn’t doubt which of the two is actually faster when pitted against each other.
