It’s been awhile since we last saw a movie featuring an epic motorsport duel with the last memorable one being Rush, a biopic on the rivalry of James Hunt and the recently deceased, Niki Lauda.

With Matt Damon playing Carroll Shelby, the man Ford entrusted to beat Ferrari at Le Mans and renowned method actor Christian Bale, playing Ken Miles, the man behind the wheel of the Ford GT, this is one film you do not want to miss.

In brief, it all started when Ford was looking to acquire Ferrari back in the early 60’s but negotiations collapsed because the deal meant that Enzo Ferrari would lose his absolute authority on the race team.

Due to be released in November, it seems (from the trailer at least) that not only will it be a mechanical feast but will also shed light on the emotional hurdles and struggles of Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles in their efforts to challenge Ferrari.
