With prices starting from RM59,800 for the Executive model, there really isn’t any parallels out there that even comes close to the new Proton Exora – you get so much car for the money!
Also offered is the Premium variant, priced at RM66,800. As for the exterior, the new Exora is available in a new Rosewood Maroon colour along with a new 16-inch wheel design.
Powering the two variants is the sole 1.6-litre turbocharged engine option paired to a CVT gearbox, making 140 hp and 203 Nm of torque.
In the Premium model, you get LED fog lamps, rear fog lamps, daytime running lights, a black roof, side skirts, a rear spoiler and power folding side mirrors.
Inside is probably where the changes are more apparent. Inside the Premium model, you get a leather-wrapped steering wheel with voice command controls as opposed to a Urethane unit, cruise control, semi leather seats and arm rest for the front row.
The interior as a whole as been revamped with a redesigned instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch TFT display, new centre console that houses a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display (only for Premium model) with the GKUI voice command system, new door panel insert and seat designs.
Along with the GKUI voice command system, the Premium model is also equipped with 4G and WiFi connectivity. That said, standard on both models are Bluetooth connectivity, two USB ports and 4 speakers.
Both models come with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD while features like Electronic Stability Control and a reverse camera is only available for the Premium model.
The new 2019 Exora is offered with four different Extra Value Packages. There’s the Service Package that offers three free labour services, an Internet Data Package with free data (1 GB) for five years.
The other two packages are the Interest Rate Package with financing rates as low as 2.76% and the Insurance Package that offers a number of benefits to buyers who insure their 2019 Exora with Proton’s panel insurers.
On top of the Extra Value packages, Proton is also offering special Value Added packages where those who buy the 2019 Exora this year will be given a 5-year or 11 times free labour service package while the first 1,000
buyers will also be given free road tax for two years for private buyers and free road tax for one year for corporate customers.
