Mitsubishi has just showcased the Mitsubishi Triton Absolute concept pick up truck at the 2019 Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS). A design study for an extreme version of the Triton clad in a heavy duty body kit and enhanced tuning for absolute off-road performance.

On the outside, the Triton Absolute wears additional protective body cladding with a carbon fibre finish on the front and rear skid plates accented with red pinstriping. If Mitsubishi decides to send this car to production, those carbon fibre bits (assuming they are genuine carbon fibre) are not going to be cheap to come by.

The underpinnings of the Triton Absolute have also been beefed up with wider track, heavy duty Falken Wildpeak M/T off-road tyres, upgraded suspension and raised ride height by 50 mm for improved ground clearance and suspension travel.

It would be interesting to see what Mitsubishi can achieve with an extreme version of the Triton but the question is, is it more desirable than the Ford Ranger Raptor?
