Check out Honda Thailand’s new video of the Accord – can it challenge the Toyota Camry?

It won’t be long guys – we’re expected to see the new Honda Accord in Malaysia very soon and this new video by Honda Thailand is making the wait even more unbearable.

Ever since the release of our new review of the 3/4 new Toyota Camry 2.5V, netizens have been quick to respond with discontent; of the car’s pricing, lacklustre looks and its carried-over engine and transmission.

According to the comments in the same video, most are now more inclined to wait for the new Honda Accord to see how well it’s packaged before pulling the trigger.

While that may be a fair assessment, I don’t buy into those who said “Top up and buy a C-Class” though. I mean come on, if you were looking at a Mercedes-Benz C-Class or even the new G20 BMW 3-series, you wouldn’t bat an eye at the Toyota Camry or the Honda Accord – they’re just totally different cars.

Recently in Thailand, the new Honda Accord was launched with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine making 190 hp and 243 Nm along with 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated engine aided by two electric motors. At its international launch, the new Accord was also introduced with a 10-speed gearbox, although don’t expect it to be fitted in our local models just yet.
