With Christmas looming, we expect most if not all the car brands to produce some form of video greeting and if this were a race, I reckon BMW is already ahead of it.
This tasteful, tongue-in-cheek video set out in the countryside drops hints as to who the character in the video is and what he does “for a living”. It really doesn’t take a genius to tell though, unless the concept of Christmas is completely foreign to you.
What was actually surprising though, was that BMW opted for an old E34 BMW 5-series Touring for the video instead of some new, electronically-festooned 5-series; it just wouldn’t work in my opinion.
If you’ve not been aware, the E34 was the first BMW 5-series that offered a wagon body style. Production began from 1990 until 1996, even after the newer E39 BMW 5-series was launched.
