Being awarded the maximum 5-Star crash safety rating by Euro NCAP earlier this year means the all-new Ford Focus is one of the safest vehicles on sale today. However, the Focus was recently commended by the crash test authority on its Advanced Driver Assistance technologies.
Equipped with three radars, two cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors, the Focus boasts features such as Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Evasive Steering Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Speed Sign Recognition and Lane-Centring, Adaptive Front Lighting System with Predictive curve light and more.
Euro NCAP secretary general, Michiel van Ratingen said: “The Ford Focus delivers a very balanced package of driver assistance technologies, with the capability to make journeys safer, while also ensuring that the driver needs to remain alert and ready to take appropriate action in an emergency.”
The technologies developed for the Ford Focus not only makes the family hatchback a lot safer but also allows the drivers to have a more comfortable and less demanding driving experience, especially on long journeys.
