Having been introduced globally in September this year, Lexus Australia is now offering a flamboyant extension of the LX 570 – the LX 570 S – equipped with oversized alloy wheels, a real aggressive body kit and even performance dampers.
Available in Sonic Quartz and Starlight Black, the fit-for-a-rapper exterior is the result of redesigned front and rear bumpers, 21-inch “dubs” as wheels over 20-inch were referred to back in the early 2000s and an exclusive sports mesh pattern for the signature spindle grille.
Typical of such a flashy vehicle, there’s also the letters “LX S” projected onto the ground when the doors are opened.
Inside, the new variant’s luxury semi-aniline perforated leather trim is available in Black or a rich burgundy colour named Garnet – exclusively for the 570 S. The Shimamoku Grey ornamentation is also unique to the LX 570 S.
Like the LX 570, the S variant also comes with a 5.7-litre V8 engine mated to an 8-speed gearbox with 367 hp and 530Nm of torque. It is said to be capable of towing up to 3,500 kg of cargo.
The LX 570 S is priced at $168,089 Australian dollars (RM494k) – an additional $6,500 dollars (RM19k) over the LX 570.
