Nothing can make the C-HR stand out more than it already has; unless its covered in a pink chrome wrap or doused in a loud and bold paint job.
With the newly-introduced C-HR “Design” Edition in the UK, it’s the latter. On the outside, the “Design” edition sports a vibrant Cyan Blue paint work that’s a few shades brighter than the Blue Metallic/Black combination we have locally, 18-inch matte black alloy wheels along with a host of customisations including contrast colours for the side sills, front bumper inserts, lower boot trim, fog light surrounds and door mirror covers.
The “Design” edition is also offered with rear privacy glass, entry illumination, ambient lighting and auto-folding heated door mirrors with integrated turn indicators. Optional extras include a premium JBL sound system and leather upholstery.
Unlike the sole 1.8-litre naturally-aspirated engine option available in Malaysia, the C-HR is available with a 1.8-litre hybrid electric powertrain or with a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the UK.
The turbocharged model comes with either a 6-speed manual transmission to drive the front wheels or a CVT gearbox with all-wheel drive. Prices for the C-HR starts from £21,880 (approx RM115k).
