Here is something from Geneva that has slipped our radar, the Subaru Viziv Tourer Concept, the latest concept car to bear the Viziv nameplate since the debut of the Viziv Concept in 2013. Penned with an estate body style, the Viziv Tourer points towards the future replacement of the Levorg, if Subaru decides to build one.
The front end draws inspiration from the Viziv Performance Concept with its hexagonal front grille, angular headlamps and sharp body lines with the hood scoop now sitting flush with the bonnet presumably for aerodynamic purposes. The tailgate is much sleeker than the Levorg’s with visually shorter overhangs.
Key measurements of the concept car reads 4,775 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, 1,435 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,730 mm. As a comparison, the Viziv Tourer is longer (+85 mm), wider (+150 mm) and leaner (-55 mm) than the Levorg.
No information was revealed about the interior, but Subaru promises practical luggage space with a spacious cabin for passengers. The Viziv Tourer combines different practical design solutions to cater to the active lifestyles of Subaru’s customers.Onto Advanced Driver-Assist technologies, Subaru is currently working on the next-generation EyeSight technology with further enhancements to the radar system, GPS and navigation systems. The enhanced EyeSight is expected to be launched in 2020 to work in harmony with the boxer engine and Symmetrical AWD, giving Enjoyment and Peace of Mind expected of Subaru vehicles.
