Perodua delivered 28,000 Myvis to date, 60k bookings since launch

It seems that Perodua have their hands tied trying to keep up with deliveries of their new baby, the fourth-generation Perodua Myvi. Since its official debut in November 2017, the company has collected 60,000 orders for the new hatchback and has since fulfilled 28,000 of those orders.

Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd Managing Director Dato’ Dr Zahari Husin said: “We thank our customers and the Malaysian public for their strong support of the Myvi, and we will continue to improve the delivery time for our valued customers,”

Despite the colossal number, Perodua maintains that customers who place their bookings for the new Myvi today will most likely receive their cars in time for the Raya holidays in June.

With 28,000 new Myvis on the streets and plenty more to come, Perodua also sees a healthy demand for its other models, delivering 5,000 Axias, 3,700 Bezzas and 1,900 Alza in the month of February. Perodua delivered 6,500 Myvis in the same month, making up a total of 17,100 units.

Year-on-year, Perodua’s sales have grown by 13.1 percent from 30,800 to 34,800. The national carmaker targets to sell 209,000 cars in 2018 – 2 percent increase from 2017.
