McLaren Senna Carbon Theme shows that dreams are made of carbon fibre

The McLaren Senna is already an engineering marvel own its but the guys at McLaren Special Operations (MSO) know just how to take it to another level. Set to take centre stage at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) is a bespoke McLaren Senna Carbon Theme by MSO, featuring exposed carbon fibre body panels and a unique livery that nods to legendary Formula 1 racer, Ayrton Senna’s.

The Carbon Theme is one of the five pre-set themes from MSO. All 67 carbon fibre body panels of the Senna are completely exposed, giving it a Visual Carbon Fibre exterior. The carbon fibre exterior is contrasted with Solar Yellow accents on the sill exteriors, rear wing and front active Aero blades as well as Laurel Green brake calipers – a colour scheme identical to the helmet colours of Ayrton Senna.

Standard on this unique Senna is a 7-spoke MSO Hybrid Carbon Fibre wheels (19-inch front; 20-inch rear) that weighs just 7.5 kg (front wheel without tyre), 10 percent lighter than the standard-fit wheels. The centre-locking wheels made from forged aluminium/carbon fibre reduces unsprung weight and offer 10 to 15 percent reduction in rotating inertia, giving the car improved acceleration, braking and steering responses.

The MSO Hybrid Carbon Fibre wheels will be available as an À la carte order from the dealer either in Diamond Cut or Stealth finish. The centre lock wheel nuts are finished in Memphis Red and Vega Blue on the left and right wheels, respectively.

How much for this bespoke McLaren Senna Carbon Theme by MSO you ask? £300,000 (RM1.6 million). And that does not the car’s base price of £750,000 (RM4 million) , yikes! Limited to 500 examples worldwide and all units of the Senna have already been spoken for.
