Range Rover Velar coming to Malaysia in Q2 2018, positioned above the Evoque

For those of you who have been looking for an alternative to the Porsche Macan, here is something for you. Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia (JLR) has just confirmed that the all-new Range Rover Velar will make its Malaysian debut in Q2 of 2018.

Sharing the same aluminium platform with the Jaguar F-Pace, the Velar has the same wheelbase at 2,874 mm. The Velar boasts the slimmest full LED headlamps ever to appear on a Land Rover. Other highlights include the retractable door handles, slim LED taillamps and low drag coefficient of 0.32 – the most aerodynamically-efficient Land Rover ever produced.

JLR has said that our local-spec Velar will come with the new Touch Pro Duo infotainment system that combines two 10.0-inch touchscreen displays to form the centre console. Resulting in a minimalistic and elegant cabin with unrivalled performance and functionality.

Globally, the Velar can be had with six engine options – three turbo petrol and three turbodiesels. All engine choices are paired to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and will be available exclusively as an all-wheel drive with Configurable Dynamics and Terrain Response 2 off-road system.
