When the all-new Audi A4 B9 made its local debut late last year, Audi Malaysia promised that a high-tech Tech Pack option will be made available for all variants sometime down the road. When the 1.4 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI Quattro variants were introduced early April this year, only the 2.0 TFSI variant was available with the Tech Pack option.
Now, Audi Malaysia has made the Tech Pack option available across the range, even on the 2.0 TFSI S-Line! For those of you who have been waiting to have your brand new A4 to come with extra high-tech creature comforts, be prepared to fork out an additional RM20k to RM25k.

Starting with the entry level 1.4 TFSI Tech Pack, you get additional 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, MMI Navigation plus, Audi smartphone interface and reversing camera for RM25k extra over the bog standard 1.4 TFSI variant. Unfortunately, no swanky Matrix LED headlamps for the entry level A4.
Previously, you can only have the 2.0 TFSI (front-wheel drive) exclusively in either with S-Line or Tech Pack only. Now, Audi Malaysia has made both options available for the 2.0 TFSI S-Line Tech Pack which now comes with S-Line body kit, 18-inch alloy wheels, S-Line sport leather steering wheel, S-Line seats as well as Matrix LED headlamps. It also gets all the Tech Pack kit like the 1.4 TFSI. All these, yours for RM298,900.
Lastly, stepping up to the 2.0 TFSI Quattro Tech Pack, for RM20k more, you get Matrix LED taillamps and a 755W 19-speaker B&O Surround Sound System.
Mechanically the A4 B9 range remains available with three engine choices – 1.4-litre TFSI with 150 hp/250 Nm, 2.0-litre TFSI with 190 hp/320 Nm and a 2.0-litre TFSI with 252 hp/370 Nm. All engine options are mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission.
As a bonus, the 1.4 TFSI Tech Pack, 2.0 TFSI S-Line Tech Pack as well as the 2.0 TFSI Quattro Tech Pack will enjoy a special introductory price of RM 224,900, RM 274,900 and RM 314,900, respectively. All A4 B9 comes with a 5-Years unlimited mileage warranty and are fully imported from Ingolstadt, Germany.
We had a short stint in the A4 B9 and we think that you need to take a good look at 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-Line. But before jumping the gun on this premium compact sedan, maybe you should consider whether the Audi A4 B9 worth considering over a 3-Series, C-Class and S60?
