Infiniti has released a sole image of the QX80 Monograph, which will be fully revealed at the 2017 New York International Auto Show. The monster SUV is a design study of what could possibly be Infiniti’s new design language for their future production models.

Based on the existing QX80, the QX80 Monograph receives a new face with a bigger double-arch grille and a reshaped crescent-cut D-pillars. Roland Kreuger, President of Infiniti Motor Company said “QX80 Monograph shows our concept of luxury and style on the road, and is an exploration into how we could enhance our future Infiniti offering in the luxury SUV segment.”

They claim their latest design language combines “power with elegance, creating a commanding and sophisticated presence”. Well, if you ask us, the last thing that the QX80 needs is more road presence. This gigantic SUV easily eclipses the Range Rover if you put them side by side.
